VERTEBRAL COLUMN
At an osteopathic level, discopathies, herniated discs and in general the pains of the spine are treated in their entirety.
Fundamental is the patient’s anamnesis and the state of his pain (onset, localization, irradiation, etc.) based on this and the observation of the person (postural attitude, deviations of the spine, compensatory attitude). personalized treatment.
In common I can say that for every problem that concerns the spine, the treatment is general, in the sense that often where the pain occurs, it is never the cause of the problem.
The vertebral column is formed by a set of curves (kyphosis and lordosis), the maintenance of these is essential because they serve to cushion the loads, in a straight column the load would weigh exclusively on the intervertebral discs, which with time and excessive weight can become brittle, come out, up to rupture and let out the hernias.
On the spine, some vertebral segments also play the role of fulcrums (extension, rotation, etc.), if a fulcrum loses the ability to perform its function, the body must move anyway and therefore another segment will be used for the same movement. that not having this function and not being anatomically delegated to perform it can go into difficulty, becoming inflamed or blocked, thus creating pain in the person.
Through osteopathic treatment we try to put the patient’s body back in a condition to function well, the pressure on the overloaded areas is released, we try to free the various fulcrums of movement, recreating a harmony of curves that allows people to move without pain.
Each treatment is extremely personalized, and I am only the external means that will help the person’s body to heal itself.
Every pain, every block, is none other than our body asking for help, we must be ready to change something to allow the body to heal itself.
Lifestyle, sedentariness, stress contribute to making us live badly, every healing process requires a pact, I cannot do anything alone if I do not have the complete cooperation of the patient, but together we can achieve great results.
