Depending on its duration, the electrical impulse can selectively stimulate muscle fibers or nerve fibers.
The appropriately calibrated and positioned electrical impulse can therefore favor the contraction of both normally innervated and denervated muscles (following a paralysis for example).
It is indicated in cases of amyotrophy and in peripheral nerve injuries, as well as in all situations where muscle strengthening may be necessary.
Widely used in sports, correct application requires knowledge of the anatomy of the musculature and the location of its “motor point”; it would therefore be appropriate to perform the application
under the control of specialized personnel who will also be able to identify the actual need for treatment and advise on any simultaneous strengthening of other muscle groups in order not to create imbalances.
